There is confirmation that the Mexican closure of Bluefin tuna fishing includes sportfishing.

Just out- Mexico has stopped bluefin tuna fishing in Mexican waters. Some have interpreted the change to affect commercial and sport fishing. Some say they think it will only be applied to commercial. There has not been any clarification from Mexico's National Aquaculture and Fishing Commission. This may significantly affect fishing boats based in San Diego. Some San Diego boats have moved to fishing US waters for yellowfin and yellowtail.
